We’re thrilled to introduce our **Winter Break Camp**, a magical theater experience inspired by the beloved film *Encanto*! From December 30th- January 5th. (performance that sunday. ) join us **Monday through Friday**, from **9:30 AM to 2:30 PM**, for a week packed with singing, acting, dancing, and personal empowerment.
Our camp is designed to immerse students in the enchanting world of *Encanto*, a story rich with meaningful messages about family, individuality, and self-acceptance. Each day, students will delve into these themes through a variety of engaging activities:
- **Monday:** We’ll kick off the camp by exploring the vibrant world of *Encanto*. Students will engage in acting exercises that help them embody characters like Mirabel and Isabela, learning about their unique traits and personal journeys. The day will also include a group singing session where students begin to learn a memorable song from the movie.
- **Tuesday:** The focus will shift to dance as students learn choreography inspired by the film’s lively and colorful scenes. Through dance, they’ll explore the joy of self-expression and teamwork. Additionally, improvisation games will help students build confidence and discover their own creative voices.
- **Wednesday:** Vocal performance takes center stage as students refine the song learned on Monday. We’ll work on techniques to express emotions and connect with the lyrics. Students will also participate in storytelling activities, where they’ll practice bringing their characters to life and understanding the deeper meanings behind their roles.
- **Thursday:** It’s all about integration! Students will combine their singing, dancing, and acting skills in a rehearsal for the final performance. We’ll focus on how to blend these elements seamlessly and emphasize the film’s messages of embracing one’s unique gifts and valuing family bonds. Empowerment activities will highlight personal strengths and the importance of self-belief.
- **Friday:** The final rehearsal day will be a whirlwind of activity as students put everything together for the end-of-camp performance. They’ll refine their performances, work on stage presence, and make final touches to costumes and set design. The day will also include a reflection on the themes of *Encanto*, reinforcing the positive messages of self-acceptance and familial love.
**Important Notes:**
- **No classes on Saturday**—our camp runs Monday through Friday.
- Please ensure your child **brings a packed lunch** each day to stay energized throughout their creative adventures.
